Use Condition and Citation

We recommend that NADP data be acquired directly from the NADP and not from other sources that may alter the data in some way or may not include the latest updates and corrections.

We encourage the use and publication of NADP data in scientific, policy-related, or educational activities. Any published use of NADP data or information must acknowledge the NADP as the source. A suggested citation is:

We request one copy of any printed publication using NADP data be sent to the NADP Program Office at the address below. Citations or electronic copies are acceptable. For on-line uses, we request that the author notify the Program Office of the URL address of the online publication or website that includes NADP data. We encourage teachers and professors to send the Program Office a brief description of how they have used NADP data in their curriculum. Students who use NADP data to complete academic assignments are not required to seek permission from the Program Office, but must acknowledge the NADP in any publication (e.g., a thesis).
